NudgeDog respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information related to our SMS reminder service.
What NudgeDog Is
NudgeDog is a personal, text-message reminder service. You text NudgeDog a reminder, and NudgeDog texts you back and continues to nudge you until you mark the task done. Reminders are created by you, for you. There is no app and no account dashboard required to use the core service.
Information We Collect
When you sign up for or use NudgeDog, we may collect:
- Your mobile phone number
- Your email address (if you provide one for billing or support)
- The reminder content you send us (the tasks and times you ask to be reminded about)
- Reminder and usage data (such as reminders created, reminders completed, and plan usage)
- Opt-in and opt-out records (including the date, time, and source of your consent)
- Payment-related identifiers from our payment processor (we do not store your card details)
How We Use Information
We use this information to send you the SMS reminders and follow-up nudges you create; confirm, update, and manage your reminders; operate your subscription and process payments; provide customer support; and maintain the security and reliability of the service.
We use your reminder content only to deliver the reminder service you have requested. We do not use your reminders for advertising.
SMS Consent and Mobile Information
By opting in, you agree to receive SMS messages from NudgeDog related to the reminders you create and the operation of your account. Message frequency varies based on how many reminders you create and your settings. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. You may request help by replying HELP.
No Sharing or Selling of Mobile Information
NudgeDog does not sell, rent, share, or disclose your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in consent is never shared with third parties for any purpose other than delivering the service you requested.
Service Providers
We use trusted service providers to operate NudgeDog — for example, to send and receive text messages, process payments, host the service, and interpret the reminders you text us. This includes a text-messaging provider (Twilio), a payment processor (Stripe), hosting and database providers, and an AI provider (OpenAI), which processes the text of your reminder to turn it into a scheduled task. These providers may process your information only as needed to deliver the NudgeDog service, are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing purposes, and your reminder text is not used to train AI models. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. The text content of your reminders is automatically redacted from our records approximately 30 days after a reminder is completed, cancelled, or closed — we keep basic, non-content records (such as counts of reminders created and completed) and your opt-in and opt-out history. We retain opt-in and consent records for as long as needed to document your consent and meet our legal and carrier obligations.
Your Choices and Deletion Requests
You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP. To request deletion of your personal data, email us at support@nudgedog.com from or referencing the mobile number on the account. When you request deletion, we remove the personal content associated with your number (such as your reminder text) and stop future messages. We retain a minimal record of your opt-in and opt-out consent, and any information we are required to keep for legal, tax, or carrier-compliance purposes.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect and use it only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
NudgeDog is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above indicates when it was last revised.
